    Children are guaranteed to have a great time as they learn a collection of fascinating and mesmerizing tricks! Amaze family and friends with tricks that involve cards, ropes, coins, mind-reading, and more. While the tricks may appear difficult, you’ll discover that they are quick to learn and easy to perform. All materials are provided, and each child receives a magic kit to take home. Children are grouped by age and always learn tricks that are age-appropriate. Children can sign up again since new tricks are taught at each session.

    The purpose of this course is to provide participants with the information and skills necessary to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents or guardians. This training will help participants develop skills in five critical areas: leadership, safety and safe play, basic care, first aid and professionalism.     229114 - Home Alone/Mini First Aid

    Topics covered in the first hour of class include: coming home from school, how to deal with strangers, proper use of your house key, checking the house before entering, answering the door & telephone, and how to use the phone in an emergency. In the second hour of class, we will discuss and have some hands-on practice with some of the most common first aid occurrences. This is NOT a certification class, but rather an informational class for children under the age of 11.

    Develop your child's intellect through the royal game of chess! Current research has shown a strong link between chess and academic performance in a variety of areas, including mathematics and language arts. Also, chess has been proven to enhance children's motivation, concentration, focus, social skills, and creativity.

    Learn how to win at chess! No previous knowledge of chess is necessary. Each class will consist of a fun interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Due to the small size of the group, each child will receive plenty of personalized attention. Both new and returning participants are welcome and will progress to the next level under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. There will also be a chess competition with prizes!

    This class takes a hands-on approach to engineering, allowing students to directly engage with basic engineering concepts through a variety of fun and educational activities. Students will improve their problem solving, math, and physics skills - all while engaging in exciting building projects. Each unit will focus on a specific area of engineering. The unit will culminate in a testing of students' final projects and each student will receive an award for their progress during the unit.
