    219204 - Self Defense Seminar

    This workshop is designed to be extremely effective in teaching girls how to protect themselves. The central focus is to create an extremely safe learning environment while ensuring high quality service. All instructors are members of the Bolingbrook Police Department. Training includes practicing in full force self-defense techniques on a padded instructor as well as everyday safety skills which focus on awareness and prevention skills. The workshop emphasizes techniques that can stop an attack without violence. All workshops involve physical practice, role plays and stories to teach skills. Students should wear athletic clothing and gym shoes.

Children will have an opportunity to test for a Chess Belt® under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned after martial arts belts. There will also be a chess competition with prizes!
