    220030 - Summer Glorious Summer!

    WE will celebrate this favorite season by exploring some popular preschool themes such as Oceans, Insects, Transportation and many more. We will be using activities, games, projects, experiments, books and toys to help us really explore and learn all about the wonderful season of Summer. Weathering permitting we plan to spend lots of time outdoors in either our outdoor classroom or the park.

    SECTION A (220230-A) - this class is for the child who attended 3 year old preschool and will be attending 4 year old preschool in the fall. The child must be 4 by September 1st.

    SECTION B (220230-B) - this class is for the child who will be attending Kindergarten in the Fall. The child must be 5 by September 1st.

    The following are requirements of all participants for the following classes.
    - Participant must be potty-trained and independent with all toileting needs.
    - Participant must be able to maintain physical independence (i.e. independently walk, run, maintain adequate balance etc. without physical support, adult hand holding and/or close adult proximity)
    - Participant must be able to wear a person protective mask.
    - Participant must be able to maintain social distance (6ft or more) independently or with verbal prompting only.

    Calling all princesses and brave knights from across the land! The Park District invites you to attend this royal mini camp. We are sure to have a dragon slaying good time. Noble games will e played and fairy tale crafts will be made.

    Gather with family and friends at Terrace View Park for a campfire under the stars. We will provide the cozy campfire and all the fixings to make s知ores. We recommend bringing a blanket or chair.     Is your child sad that school has ended for the summer? Are you unhappy to see school end for the summer? This is a fun class designed for the child that just finished 3 year old preschool and will be entering 4 year old preschool in the fall. We値l have fun reviewing colors, shapes, numbers 1-10, and the concepts that every preschooler needs to know. We値l include art, circle and meeting times, as well as a snack.     220112 - Pinata Palooza

    Today痴 youth continues to be faced with massive stress through sources like bullying, excessive school testing, social media, less peer-to-peer communication, and unique 2020 family dynamics. This 65-minute power packed life coaching workshop includes a LOT of information to arm kids with strategic tools to help build self-esteem and navigate the world of a child. Warding off worrying, activating positivity, brain freezing a bully, managing clique chaos, triggering emotional self-control, propelling reputation protection, harnessing happiness, and confident communication are all covered in this workshop. While these are all serious topics, the content is presented in a high energy and motivating manner with hilarious games and dramatizations. Class will culminate with releasing all of our troubles to the festive world of the pinata. Kids will write down their biggest back-to-school or life worries and then we will stuff them in our pinata. The class will collaboratively whack open the pinata to reveal their prizes, as their worries have been released. This is a drop off class.

    Learn how to win at chess! No previous knowledge of chess is necessary. Each class will consist of a fun interactive teaching period and guided practice time. Children will have an opportunity to test for a Chess Beltョ under a unique Chess Scholars system patterned after martial arts belts. Due to the small size of the group, each child will receive plenty of personalized attention. Both new and returning participants are welcome and will get to the next level under the guidance of an experienced Chess Scholars coach. There will also be a chess competition with prizes!

As directors and producers, we will work in teams to create our own story and script, design Frozen scenes and film our own movie using Frozen toys as characters. We will use graphic editing techniques and stop motion animation, add background noise and music, and show our movie at a private screening on the last day of class. All students will get a copy of their movie after class ends.
