    220219 - Pool Hop

    Hang with your closest friends for the day at three waterparks. We’ll start the day visiting Sea Lion Aquatic Park where you can experience two body flume slides, two drop slides and a vortex pool. Next, we will trek to Bolingbrook and splash around at Pelican Harbor. Our last stop will be Cypress Cove in Woodridge where you can enjoy three body slides, one tube slide, a 600-foot lazy river and much more. Concessions are available for purchase at each site. Please bring a towel, sunblock, water and money if you would like to purchase items from concessions. All participants must know how to swim. Pools will swim test upon arrival. Depart/Return: Sea Lion Aquatic Park. 1825 Short Street in Lisle.

    220223 - Sea Lion After Hours

    Get your friends together and meet up at Lisle Park District’s Sea Lion Aquatic Park. We are shutting the doors to the public and keeping it open late just for you! Our DJ will be playing all of your favorite songs while you swim or hang out poolside with all of your friends. There may even be a contest or two thrown in just for good measure. Register at your park district today, but if not you can pay at the door! Residents of Bolingbrook, Darien, and Lisle will receive the resident rate for this event. You do not need a Jr. High After Hours card for this event.

    220904 - Odyssey Cruise

    Once again, by special request, we are offering the Odyssey Luncheon Cruise. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon aboard the Odyssey watching the famous Chicago skyline float by from the windows surrounding the dining decks or enjoy panoramic views from the outdoor rooftop observation lounge. Enjoy the creative cuisine from the Odyssey’s three-course plated lunch menu, making your choices on the cruise. The DJ on board will keep light music playing throughout the cruise, including a range of popular hits from today in addition to some well-known favorites. Don’t be shy about dusting off your dancing shoes and getting out on the dance floor, if the mood strikes! What could be better than spending a beautiful summer afternoon relaxing with friends? Bring your cameras to take photos of the beautiful city skyline. We will be boarding the Odyssey from the Navy Pier docks.

    BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND: Enjoy a beautiful day in Indiana Amish country, as we return to explore the quaint town of Shipshewana, which hosts the largest flea market in the Midwest. (Hopefully, we will not experience rain this year.) We will do stops in both the town and the flea market, so you may choose where to spend your time. You can also check out the Weekly Antique and Miscellaneous Auction in the auction building and bid on unique items as 8-10 auctioneers sell simultaneously. After exploring the sites in Shipshewana, we will continue on to Middlebury, the home of Das Dutchman Essenhaus, where we will be eating a late lunch. Lunch includes an all-you-can-eat family-style Amish meal, complete with your choice of homemade breads and pie. This meal alone is worth the trip! Join us for a day of bargain hunting, or just enjoy the quaint town with the horse-drawn buggies. There will also be time to explore the shops at Das Essenhaus. Wear comfortable clothing and shoes as more extensive walking is involved both at the flea market and in town. Note: There are several rest areas located throughout the Flea Market..

    What a perfect way to spend a sunny August afternoon relaxing with friends while enjoying the beauty of lovely Lake Geneva as we cruise around the lake with the fascinating history. Lake Geneva has often been referred to as the "Newport of the West." As we leisurely cruise past the estates, many built between 1870-1920, we will be provided with an in-depth history of the estates and the scenic wonders of this enchanting historical glacier-made spring-fed lake. While taking in the sites on board the Grand Belle of Geneva, we will be treated to a delicious lunch of Beef Tenderloin Stroganoff served over Egg Noodles. Lunch will also include a fresh fruit plate, seasonal vegetables, fresh rolls, dessert and coffee or tea. After the luncheon cruise, there will be time for a little shopping around town before heading for home.

    Trip Itinerary:
    Day 1: Depart your group’s location in a spacious, restroom and video-equipped motor coach, enjoying the great scenery along the way. Then settle into a comfortable en route hotel for a good night’s rest.

    Day 2: After a Continental Breakfast, head to the Arkansas Arts Center in Little Rock – Arkansas’ leading cultural institution. Later in the day, enjoy Dinner and head to your en route hotel.

    Day 3: Today, you’ll arrive in beautiful San Antonio, Texas – Home of the Alamo! Later today, enjoy a relaxing Dinner and check into your San Antonio area hotel for a five night stay.

    Day 4: After enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you will take a Guided Tour of San Antonio. The tour includes visits to San Fernando Cathedral, the King William Historical District and El Mercado, an area patterned after an authentic Mexican market. Later you will enjoy Dinner and go on San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk Cruise.

    Day 5: After enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you’ll head to the Gulf of Mexico! Your journey will begin with a stop at the stunning Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, Texas. You will enjoy exhibits with 13,000 animals from 460+ species, wildlife presentations, shows in their 4D Theater and more. Then, you’ll head to Bob Hall Pier, which extends over 1,000 feet into the Gulf of Mexico. You’ll have a chance to take a stroll on the pier and enjoy the magnificent view. Later, after Dinner, you’ll head back to your hotel for a good night’s rest.

    Day 6: Enjoy a Continental Breakfast before departing for Fredericksburg, “Jewel of the Texas Hill Country.” Start with a visit to the Lyndon B. Johnson National Historical Park where you will go on a tour of the LBJ Ranch, and see the ‘Texas White House.” Then, depart for the National Museum of the Pacific War, including the George Bush Gallery. Here, visitors become quickly engaged in the personal stories of Americans from all branches of the military involved in the Pacific Theatre of World War II. This evening, enjoy a local Dinner with entertainment.

    Day 7: Start the day with a Continental Breakfast. Afterwards, depart for a visit to the San Antonio Missions. Experience the “Queen of the Missions” – Mission San Jose, established in 1720. Next, you will visit the Institute of Texan Cultures. The Institute is devoted to the 26 different cultures that settled Texas. Later, go to the IMAX Theatre at San Antonio Rivercenter to see “ALAMO… The Price of Freedom.” Then, stand where history took place when you visit the buildings and grounds of the ALAMO – “The Shrine of Liberty.” This evening, you will relax and enjoy Dinner.

    Day 8: Enjoy a Continental Breakfast at your hotel before leaving for the Magnolia Market at the Silos in Waco, Texas. Later today, after a relaxing Dinner, you’ll check into your en route hotel.

    Day 9: Today, after Continental Breakfast, you’ll enjoy a visit to the Old State House Museum in Little Rock, Arkansas. Tonight, relax in your en route hotel.

    Day 10: Today, after enjoying a Continental Breakfast, you will depart for home… a perfect time to chat with your friends about all the fun things you’ve done, the great sights you’ve seen and where your next group trip will take you.
